NYP Kayaking
Wednesday, December 05, 2007

in the recent few events that took place over a short period of time, i'd first like everyone to take a minute and remember the seniors whose demise has struck the world dumbfounded. minute's gone, and so our lives would move on.

on a happier note, NYP stormed the RP Invitationals POL-ITE Race on the 24th of November, saturday. Everyone was feeling the jitters early that morning, with thoughts of the finishing sprint, the starting line, and for most juniors if was their virgin race. but we went, and we conquered. a few juniors have indeed done us all proud, and also not forgetting our seniors who earned their way into the top few.

we've all came such a long way, together, training and pushing each other, and i'm not saying we're going to stop here. we'll continue training hard, training strong, and training smart.

listed herein is a list of the winners for the 2007 POL-ITE Games:

Women T1
Ng Liling 2nd
Rainie The Li Jun 3rd

Women T2
Evangeline Liew Jia Min / Melissa Khah Jia Yan 1st
Chia Huey Yen / Joanna Liew shik Ee 2nd

Women K1
Foo Jing Ting 2nd
Siak Aising 3rd

Women K2
Siak Aising / Foo Jing Ting 2nd

Men T1

Ng Jun Wei / Nathan Zhou Zhen Hao 2nd
Neo En Kai / Lim Guo Liang 2nd

Men K1

also, in this race, Republic Polytechnic has introduced the overall champions for both Men Races and Women Races. With the team that obtains the most medals and seizes most places in the top 3 for each race, they will draw the overall championship for the number of medals they win.

in account of the above-mentioned medals that we've won, i am proud to say this:

Overall Postion Women Men
Champions
NYP SP
1st Runner-up RP NYP
2nd Runner-up RP

we have tamed the seas! or at least, Seletar Reservoir, for now.

We are a team of dedicated canoeist,
who not only train - we train to win.
