Hey team,
Over the last week, I’ve noticed that a lot of you seem pretty worn out (physically and emotionally) after all the intense training during the holidays, and that a lot of us are on the verge of overtraining or are already overtraining. I believe that all of us deserve one day of rest so that we can let our bodies and minds recover from all that we’ve put ourselves through.
Remember that our target right now is the inter-poly race which is in 7 weeks time, I don’t want any of us to get injured or get burnt out during this period.
WHICH IS WHY…. Training on this Wednesday, tomorrow, the 15th of October, will be cancelled.
COMPULSORILY CANCELLED
So… all of you.. take this one day of break, let yourselves recover and then you can come back on Saturday to continue chasing our medal dreams.
Seriously, its cancelled, this is not a drill.

Hey team!!!
Good news, the intensive training during the holidays finally ended! I’m glad that all of us survived through it. Through the last six weeks, I can see that each and every one of us really pushed and finished the entire training no matter how terrible it feels sometimes. Even coach has seen the tremendous improvements in all of us. All this hard work, all this sweat and all those early mornings have been worth it! Keep it up! I’m proud of you guys(and girls)!
Tomorrow will be the start of a brand new semester. Isn’t that sad that we can’t see each other that often anymore? Like Daniel always say, it’s our team unity that scares people, its our team spirit that drives us ever higher. We stay strong together and rise up together. So even though we don’t train everyday when school starts we can definitely make the time to eat together or go out as a team right?
When the school term starts it doesn’t mean that training is put on hold, as u guys know, we have 7 more weeks till our IVP, there still a long way to go, a lot to do, a lot more suffering to do (evil grin) I hope that all of us can make it down for training as much as possible alright? For those who have night classes, even though u can join us for trainings, make sure u make the extra effort to keep up with the team. It doesn’t take much time to hit the gym or run alone or with a small group, get things done and get back to your studies. Remember people, every little bit of effort we put in pays off.
Oh, and study people, study. Studies should be your priority at this period of time for all of us, (kayaking should come in as a close second). When you’re in class, BE in class, don’t go around kayaking in your head. I don’t want any of you to mess up and your grades and have to leave the team because of worried parents.
Last of all people, lets continue to train hard and move together as a team! No matter what happens, we’ll go together all the happy times and hard time together and kick ass as a team!
NYP KAYAKING~ YOSH!!
