Team, we're gone through monstrous land trainings and body breaking sea trainings together for 1 to 3 years already. No matter how tough trainings are, it'll only torture and last for that few hours, but the payoff such as winning medals together with the team last us for a lifetime and it'll be etched on our memories every single day.
Nonetheless, nothing worthwhile such as winning medals is never easy. Behind that few minutes of sprinting on the water are days and months of hard work and preparation. And for now, lets all train hard towards our common goal:Pol-ite Men's and Women's Championship 2008 which is around September or November. It's a comfortable 3 months for us to mould ourselves into tiptop physical conditions and strong rowers, therefore waste no time and push on.
All of you are trying to improve everything, your stamina, your mentality, your techniques. After a while(lets say 1 month before the competition), it's like a diamond, you start to polish it up and it all becomes much more smooth. You know really what you're better at, where you're not so good.So that makes it much more easy to work on. All of you have to try to keep our heads up and have a good team around you, who supports you and motivates you day and night without fail.
Everytime before starting training, screw these mentalities inside yourself:
Preparations begin with mental toughness.
I am the master, my body is the pupil.
No weaknessess.Just opportunities to improve.
There will come a day when I can no longer improve but that day is not today.
Every Challenge is an opportunity for me to rise one day.
And if it takes 100 practice sprints to perfect one competition sprint, it's all worth it. The results you see in Pol-ite Championship 08 are definitely worth the pain today. Heads up and row with confidence and bring our that aggressive side of you. Everyday I ask 'could I be better?' And the answer is always 'yes'
Nothing out of the ordinary, everday we'll continue training together as one, go through shit as one, and we'll earn glory at the end of the day as one.
